Situation

when trying to connect to the Unix card from CMS UI got error: The results exceed the maximum number (35000) of total CIs and their relationships. Please use the 'Edit Inventory' option from 'Card Settings' to redefine your card query

Cause

Because a card has more CIs and relationships than specified in the card.max.ci.number.allowed JMX setting, 

Resolution

Specify the maximum number of CIs and relationships allowed in a card.
By default, the maximum number of CIs and relationships allowed in a card is 35000. To modify the value, follow these steps:
- Go to JMX Console > UCMDB:service=Settings Services > setSettingValue.
   -- In the name field, enter card.max.ci.number.allowed.
   -- In the value field, enter the desired value.
- Click Invoke.
