Because there were so many problem with OES23.4 ISO upgrade, I'm curious if anyone tried to upgrade production OES 2018 SP3 to OES 24.4.
Thanks

I already upgraded all my 2018 servers - they are at 24.2. So no 2018 servers left to take directly to 24.4.
I have a client with one, I plan on doing this weekend after adding a second server into the tree due to ongoing single server edir upgrade headaches.
I'll post my results

Overall went fine. New 24.4 server installed into the 2018.3 tree, then upgraded 2018.3 to 24.4
On first boot after upgrade expect some form of erroneous error "An Internal error occurred when integrating additional workflow'. I had seen similar on a 24.3>24.4 upgrade elsewhere and have an open case with it.
Only small issue was a weird lum/namcd error at end of the upgrade. Just went into yast2 novell-lum when the autoyast save was done. Ldap servers seemed fine. It did it's own namconfig -k and restart of namcd, now it's all fine. I didn't even change anything so... shrug.
NSS volumes available, Groupwise running, imanager and iprint seem fine.
I'll add UMC/IdentityConsole to it next, but basics I think are safe.
update: did a zypper patch at end and one of them complained about old Python packages. SUSE-SLE-Product-SLES-15-SP4-LTSS-2024-1637-1.noarch
Solution 1: Following actions will be done:
deinstallation of python-pycparser-2.10-5.6.1.noarch
deinstallation of python-cffi-1.11.5-5.19.1.x86_64
deinstallation of python-brotlipy-0.6.0-2.6.1.x86_64
Solution 2: do not install patch:SUSE-SLE-Product-SLES-15-SP4-LTSS-2024-1637-1.noarch
