When sharing a file, record when it was opened by a 3rd party

Our users share files with 3rd parties and want an audit proving that the 3rd party has downloaded / opened the document. (In a similar way to We-Transfer)

Any update on this? It seems to be quite simple in implementation and is a feature that's quite obvious to me for a file-sharing application. After all, what good does a shared file do when it doesn't get downloaded?
