MC Agent deployed to device via LAN?

Hello there,

This is more of a curiosity than anything, or maybe something that could make for a cool feature.

Long story short, we have UFT Mobile (3.4) on premises; Due to the CoVID-19 situation, we've been all working from home and as a result - the devices lab resides now in my spare room for the sake of ease of maintenance.

Now the funny thing - last night I was watching some football using an Android TV box I have in the living room. This morning, I found out that the MC Connector was deployed to it...via LAN? I can't find mention of this feature anywhere in the documentation, have I looked in the wrong place(s)?

It would be a very useful bit of functionality if it's fully supported...

    Hi,

We deployed our Android agent to all android devices connected via USB cable to the connector machine.

Please check if the Android TV box is actually connected to your connector machine via USB.

    Regards,

    Erez.

It's not connected via USB - different room and never been anywhere near to the agent machine. As a matter of fact, the TV Box only has two Type-A standard USB ports to connect a flashdrive or a keyboard - connecting it to a computer via USB would require an USB A to A cable - which I don't even have around.
More importantly, in UFT Mobile the TV box is identified by IP Address, while all other devices are given an alphanumeric ID.
