Problem:

Why does the Custom Reports Tab appear to be missing in SilkCentral Issue Manager?

Resolution:

ANSWER
----------------------------------
If a user logs into SilkCentral Issue Manager and there is no "CUSTOM REPORTS" tab available

The most likely reason is that an XML configuration file has been modified or corrupted; to resolve this do the following:

  • Go to "C:\Program Files\SilkCentral Test Manager 7.0\conf\frontendserver"
  • Edit the file named "SRFrontendBootConf.xml" by opening it in a text Editor.
  • Ensure that the "CustomReports" XML attribute value is identical to the value listed below and if not then edit the XML code so that it contains the correct value:

    com.segue.scc.webgui.module.common.StyleReportView

  • After you have edited the XML file save the changes
  • Reboot the Segue FrontEnd Server

Now when a user logs in they should be able to view the Custom Reports Tabs in Issue Manager.
