Tip for when Searching the Knowledge Base for a Phrase or Adjacent Words

If you are searching for a phrase or set of words that should be adjacent to each other, then use double quotes to reduce the number of results and increase the speed of the search.

The best place to start your search is in the search field at the top of https://portal.microfocus.com as shown below.

Note: the search engine ignores noise words for all search criteria and results.

For Example:

Search Criteria Results
search for words All knowledge containing 'search' OR 'words'
"search for adjacent words" All knowledge containing 'search' AND 'adjacent' AND 'words' found in this sequence
"search adjacent words" All knowledge containing 'search' AND 'adjacent' AND 'words' found in this sequence

For additional help using the knowledge base check out the Portal help.
