Career journey:
I first came into contact with Novell in 1993. In the following years I held certifications as CNI / Master CNI and CNE. In the early years I worked as a freelance trainer for Novell training centers. At the same time I was employed by Novell partners as a level 1,5 supporter. During the same period I was a freelance trainer and supporter for Computer Associates. Here I supported the products Arcserve and Unicenter. From the very beginning I was involved with major customers and large systems. I was also a speaker and moderator in the DNUG (Lotus Notes / Lotus Domino). I have actively worked in DNUG for more than 10 years. Around the year 2001 Login-IT was founded with 3 partners. The main business were products around Novell / Microfocus and CA respectively Arcserve. Level 1.5 and beyond is still available at Login-IT today. We are often deployed when IT emergencies occur. For example, cybercrime attacks on companies or worldwide disruptions in eDir at customers where our expertise has been used. We are not very visible on the market because we also work for organizations that want discretion. There are past success stories on the subject of OES, GroupWise and backup and recovery, e.g. from Fraunhofer IWES. Today, Login-IT is increasingly active in the field of IT forensics, using systemic consulting to show customers what they can do preventively to become resilient in terms of cybercrime.

Importance of the OpenText Community:
The exchange with other experts is very valuable for me. Another important thing is the direct contact with the product developers via OT Key people who are active in the forum. Answers from the developers are very valuable. I would like to mention Pam, Rob, Robin and Mike as representatives of OT employees who provide me with valuable support.

Hobbies:
Listening to audio books, making music, hiking, writing stories, doing handicrafts and a passion for cooking and baking.

Closing thoughts:
Dig 3 feet deeper to really see and understand the problem
