ZENworks 23.4 Work-managed Android

Hello community!

We have noticed that some phones that are registering in work-manged mode (afw#zenworks) can't exit the ZENworks app after registering and will not continue the phone setup.

The phone is registered and I can find it under Mobile devices. But it will not complete phone setup.

Does the ZENworks app and ZENworks ZCC have to be on the same update to work?

How does version compatibility look? Can ZENworks app 24.2 manage a phone with ZENworks ZCC 23.4?

The current phone with this problem is the Samsung Galaxy A41 on Android 12.

Even more problematic is the Samsung Galaxy A40 on Android 11 that skips the login altogether after installing ZENworks app.

I'm currently testing more phones for this issue. But I have to make sure they are on their latest OS patch first.

    No instead of using the afw#zenworks method, you use the QR code method. To access this you tap the screen 6 times on the initial device setup screen and this switches it to using QR code method.

    Basically you upload an version of the ZENworks app to a webserver you own (In this case you'll need an earlier version, 23.3 works ok). Then you prepare a QR code which tells Android where to download the app from. You scan the QR code on the device, it then downloads the app, installs it, and the device will be in work-managed mode.
