ZMAN for Windows after ZCM Version 23.4

Hello all,

did anyone know, if there are plans to ship a zman Version for Windows after the end of support for Windows primarys ?

We had a lot powershell stuff to sync objects between ZCM and Active Directory using zman.

It woul'd be hard to lost the functionality of that scripts.

Powershell.core on Linux wasn't an alternative, because there no modules available for Active Directory.

Regard

Michael

Doubtful....You could put something in the ideas page, but I would not be hopeful.

However, I suspect you can still do what you need to do.....From PowerShell you can copy files to/from an Appliance as well as issue remote commands.  Linux Primaries can write to WIndows Shares.  It should be possible to tweak the Windows PowerShell scripts to request data ZMAN data from an appliance, process the data on the WIndows PC with data from AD, and then send the ZMAN script files to the Appliance for processing.   A few more steps but relatively speaking not very complex.

    Hello Craig,

In hat wrote an request to a existing one.
There are some older request for that feature too.

    You are right.
I can call zman calls via ssh on an linux host and grep the results in powershell variables.
Files can i also transfer with scp.

But it would be very easier with zman under windows.

    Many thanks

    Michael
