After update to OES 24.4 eDirectory fails to start / eDirectory crashes after IDM driver is started

Environment

Open Enterprise Server 24.4
Identity Manager 4.9

Situation

On an OES system where IDM 4.9 is installed, after update to OES 24.4, eDirectory either fails to start or crashes after a driver is started.

The following error can be found in ndsd.log:

/var/opt/novell/eDirectory/log/ndsd.log
//opt/novell/eDirectory/sbin/ndsd: symbol lookup error: /opt/novell/eDirectory/lib64/nds-modules/libvrdim.so: undefine
