Upgrade to OES 25.1 possible since yesterday

Upgrade to OES 25.1 possible since yesterday

The release notes are here www.microfocus.com/.../oes_25.1_readme.html. New clients for OES 25.1 are available and can be downloaded from the OpenText AppDelivery Marketplace. For me, the installation on 5 servers so far went through without any major problems. If I find something I will post it here.

The update was performed in the Yast2 wagon  for OES 24.3. On 24.4.1 is only patch update nessesary.

    Sadly IC still not usable in OES environment.

    Docker and IC are running in the installations. However, there is one problem: a few steps need to be carried out each time after a restart.

    A question for those who have problems with the UMC and IC:
    in /var/log/messeages

    is there something similar to this?

    Please do not comment on what is not yet possible. I just want to know if there are similar entries in the logs.

    I have found other things that should be discussed elsewhere. What I can say here is about iManager and OES services that are buggy or based on deprecated configurations at startup. Otherwise I can say that the dev team has done a good job here. Thanks to the Dev Team. I will try to give the dev team my results with your feedback to get a solution.

    I have updatted one server so far. It was up to date prior to new updates being released. I did get an error that was weird I thought. I ignored and continued. It finished and rebooted and all seems fine. I even tried running zipper up after the reboot and still same for one item. I have not seen any issues so far after 18 hours.

    Anyone else seen this. Will try one or two more over the weekend to see if get the same thing.

    I have never seen an opensuse repo on an OES system unless we specifically added it for a non-supported feature. You really don't want to do this. Enable repositories should look something like this;

    zypper lr -E
    Repository priorities are without effect. All enabled repositories share the same priority.

    crashmaster18

    my post from above has an error

    libselinux1 is a runtime library from SELinux and it actually comes from the opensuse repo. OT support should clarify why the URL is invalid
