Netware as Hyper-V guest?

Hello!

I'm testing Netware as virtual machine. I was able to install Netware 5.1 SP8 inside Hyper-V of Windows Server 2008 SP2 (NT 6.0)
(running on IBM x3500 M2 with 16 GB RAM and quad-core Xeon E5504). It is running surprisingly fast (probably because of hardware
virtualization) and our client application is working OK.
Unfortunately I have no success installing Netware 6.0 SP5 or 6.5 SP8. Installation just stopped with cursor blinking.
Way anyone lucky with installation of NW 6.* as Hyper-V guest (maybe on Server 2008 R2 or Windows 8, with Opteron instead of Xeon)

Thanks, Roman

Why do you not use something that has a wider support for various OSes,
    such as VMWare or XEN?

Hm ... Well, Hyper-V is already part of the OS. Secondly, I prefer .VHD files that can also be used in Virtual PC embedded into
Windows 7 or Windows 8 Pro.

    Best regards, Roman

ESXi is free and the vms can me moved between ESXi and VMWare workstation (which is not free but
    runs circles around Virtual PC)

I have no experience with Hyper-V. I use ESXi because it is rock-solid
and gets the work done :)

To do a P2V (Physical to virtual) of 5.1 you would treat it pretty much
like what you would have done in the past. Use the Migration Wizard (the
old one as this is 5.1). One small obstecle is that it expects a floppy,
but that can be overcome as long as the floppy in the priginal server
works. You use one of the free utils to transfer teh floppy contents to
an image file that can be mounted on the target VM.
