GroupWise 2014R2 client doesn't work on Windows 11 24H2

I have a small office customer running OES 15 & GroupWise 2014R2 that I support when something breaks, but otherwise they're quiet and happy running their old software... they haven't had active maintenance in forever.

On Friday though their one Windows 11 computer updated itself to 24H2.  After that the GroupWise client wouldn't launch, gives the error that GroupWise isn't installed correctly.  I tried uninstalling, re-installing, updated to the very last 2014R2 SP3 client, nothing worked.  I rolled the Windows back to 23H2 and re-installed GroupWise, all is well again but obviously this is a temporary fix.  I'm telling them they may have to give in and get a OWS:SBE subscription and let me upgrade everything to the current decade...

In the meantime, has anyone else run into this and come up with any fix to run GW 2014 R2 client on Win 11 24H2?  I realize it's an odd/rare combo, 10 year old GW client with a bleeding edge Windows version.

Thanks.

I have this issue as well. Since I have a support agreement with them, I open a case with them.  They that do not support 14.2.3 anymore and to upgrade it. SO calling them will not help you.  I think that since there are 2008 C++ stuff in it .. it won't properly initalize..

I have had everyone thsi working with windows 11 decline the upggrade to 24h2..well either this or turn on imap and run the PCs with outlook for every thing new. I have no Idea what to do about archives.

I had to rebuld a laptop that 24h2 with 23h2.. because the person wanted to use the client and not the webaccess or the Outlook..

    No fixes just horror stories.

It has nothing to do with 2008 C++, it is MAPI, like I said.
May I ask what is stopping you from upgrading to a Groupwise version that isn't out of support for over 6 years?
