Groupwise Mobility Server and "classic Outlook" vs. "new Outlook (365)"

GW/GMS 24.3

Hello,

classic Outlook can connect to GMS using "Exchange".

Now Microsoft installs a "new" Outlook 365 parallel to classic outlook. This version only allows to connect to an office 365 account, I cannot manual give our GMS address.

The detour using Windows system control / adding an email account doesn't work, outlook 365 doesn't access to this account.

On my informations MS plans to remove "classic" Outlook until end of 2024.

Is there any way to connect GMS with outlook 365 (no imap/no pop)?

What is ms Outlook or o365? OT had all what our Heart want: Groupwise, GMS, Messenger, gwweb, Filr, Vibe,OEs, etc

a stabil and Secure Messaging System and not „we have all Doors Open“ or you can Change the content of emails, etc…

Claude, your statement does not really help  . Sometimes you have to use/support applications which you do not want to. Just to keep the speed low into the wrong direction ...

I.e. I am on my way back from a customer. The whole it department was a Novell shop; they still love GroupWise. Nevertheless they are on Exchange, AD, MS file system; for years now. Sometimes fate is 'unfair'. (Fortunately they use SMG, Filr, iPrint, Zenworks)

agree fully Diethmar, we all love to see customers use GW but as we all know very well this over the years is getting less and less. Also a small system with a few users you cant compare to a serious business with Cxx's that want "Outlook" or "go to the cloud" we simply cant ignore other products as this i think is the reason we are where we are in the first place.
