Knowledge Document: The external server cannot access the Dashboard of Data Protector For Cloud Workload

Environment

Cell Manager: Windows Server 2016 / Data Protector 23.4
Data Protector For Cloud Workload Server: CentOS 8 Stream  / Data Protector 23.4
 

Situation


 

Cause

The httpd service is not installed on the Data Protector For Cloud Workload server.
 

Resolution

Can access the Data Protector For Cloud Workload Dashboard normally after the httpd service is installed and enabled. 

Example:

[root@<Data Protector For Cloud Workload Server> ~]# rpm -qa | grep httpd
[root@<Data Protector For Cloud Workload Server> ~]#
[root@<Data Protector For Cloud Workload Server> ~]# yum install httpd
Updating Subscription Management repositories.
Last metadata expiration check: 0:27:46 ago on Thu 14 Mar 2024 01:28:53 PM IST.

[root@<Data Protector For Cloud Workload Server> ~]# systemctl start httpd
[root@<Data Protector For Cloud Workload Server> ~]# systemctl enable httpd
Created symlink /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/httpd.service → /usr/lib/systemd/system/httpd.service.
[root@<Data Protector For Cloud Workload Server> ~]#
