Can't start hpdp-idb and hpdpas on Microfocus Data Protector V10.70

Hi all,

We are running Microfocus Data Protector V10.

70 on Windows Server 2019 (Virtual Server). Currently the system is having an error as shown below:

After I pressed OK

I try to stop and start some service with “omnisv …” but hpdp-idb and hpdpas cant start with code [1053] The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

    I would like to start by saying the currently supported DP versions are: 11.01, 23.3, 23.4 and 24.1.

    How did this problem start? Did you upgrade from an older version to 10.70 after which this problem appeared? Was anything else changed in the environment which could influence name resolving or anything else?

    I would start by checking the postgresql logs in ProgramData\OmniBack\server\db80\pg\log. Try to start the services as you did before and check the latest log generated at that time. Based on the errors seen there you can continue to troubleshoot.

    I opened the case with support! The problem was resolved by deleting the backup_lable file in the folder Programdata/omniback/server/db80/pg/ then Restart Server.
