Hey all. I'm hoping someone is able to pinpoint what I'm missing. I am getting this error in the thick client while trying to access a brand-new Content Manager 24.4 dataset (non-prod environment). This is using the Open Dataset window and clicking 'New'. If I use 'Browse' it is not listed as part of the available datasets for the WGS.
Error connecting to the Content Manager dataset 'QS" on Content Manager Workgroup Server 'local'. The dataset with the ID 'QS' is not available. The cause is: An error occurred accessing database 'xxxxxxx'. This database will not be supported. The Content Manager Workgroup server is unable to retrieve details for the dataset '0'.
I've tried to resolve it from this Knowledge article https://community.opentext.com/portfolio/content-manager/w/tips/42949/knowledge-document-error-opening-dataset-the-content-manager-workgroup-server-is-unable-to-retrieve-details-for-the-dataset-0
However, the solution doesn't help much for my particular issue. While certainly using a dedicated non-system account, a few other things to note:
- I am setting up a whole new CM instance with new service account. Windows Server 2022, CM24.4, OBDC 18
- SVC account has db_owner permissions on the SQL side and included in relevant security AD groups for the WGS server.
- CM WGS Service is running under the SVC account.
- Database properties in CM-ES confirms connection tested successfully and presents in CM-ES as all up and running.
- Legacy datasets (both schema upgraded and not upgraded) added to CM-ES are presented in the Open Dataset's Browse window on the client. But the freshly created 24.4 dataset is not listed.
