Situation

Inventory discovery by scanner failed to run with the error message for targeted servers with UD agent in agent-driven mode. 

"Remote Agent is operating in Agent Driven Mode. Aborting trigger".

Cause

Inventory discovery by scanner cannot be started because UD-agent is installed in Agent-Driven mode, so the initial connection must come from Agent side. So, the targeted server's connection is blocked as initiator.

Resolution

To disable the Agent driven flow on target servers, do the following:

• Windows:

1. Go to the following directory in Registry Editor:

• 1. x86: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hewlett-Packard\Universal Discovery\V1\Options
  2. x64: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Hewlett-Packard\Universal Discovery\V1\Options

1. Change Registry: SCHEDULER_Enabled= False          

•  UNIX and the UNIX variants:

1. Go to the following directory in Registry Editor in $HOME/.discagnt/aioptionrc
             b. Change Registry: SCHEDULER_Enabled= False
