Newly Added CI Attribute Not Showing in CMS UI

Hi,

I have added a new attribute to the CPU CI type - which is showing fine in the local client - but is not showing as a selectable attribute when creating a report in the CMS UI (although, it does show as an attribute when viewing CI properties).

Is there a delay in new attributes showing in the CMS UI - or do I need to do something else?

The new CI attribute properties are:
Attribute Name: Vendor_Processor_ID
Display Name: Vendor Processor ID
Attribute Type: Primitive (string)
Value Size: 50
Visible: true
CMS Browser Visible: true
Visible in preview mode: true
Properties group assignment: Additional

All other properties are blank/false.

We're using UCMDB version 23.4

Thanks in advance!

    Hello,

What Report are you creating?  Is it a basic Report from the Reports module?

    Thanks,

    Diana

    Hi,

Yes, it is a basic report from the reports module in the CMS UI.

When selecting a CI attribute, the newly-added 'Vendor Processor ID' attribute does not show in the list of available attributes (nor when selecting columns for the report).

    Thanks

    Paul

    Hi,

I tried on my side with the same attribute details as you mentioned and it works fine for me, I can see the attribute.

Please open a support case better so it can be investigated.

    Thanks,

    Diana

    Hi Diana,

Through my own testing, I found the answer:
On the 'advanced' tab, the "Editable" value needs to be TRUE (box checked)
On the 'UCMDB Browser Qualifiers' tab, the "CMS Browser Visible" value needs to be FALSE (box un-checked) - which seems strange.

I had this issue on two separate systems and I tested on both and the issue is now resolved on both systems.  The new CI attribute is now available for selection when creating basic reports in the CMS UI.

There doesn't seem to be anything in the product documentation about this (I could not find anything anyways) - so I hope this answer helps others who face the same issue.

    Regards,

    Paul
