How to move a model (change or incident) between tenants?

Is there any update in the functionality of the dev2prod function to include models? I want to move configurations (models) from a dev-environment to test-environment and then to a prod-environment. I have a hard time to accept that the only way to do this is to reimplement manually in the target environment. I have models with 50+ rules and useroptions-fileds. This introduces a lot of work and a risk for mistakes.

Has anyone out there developed a tool or method to accomplish this?
