Rather than trying to bring in the Hardware Board as something within SMAX can you use the following idea:

Configure Native SACM CI Topology widget to display the Hardware Board within SMAX so it looks something like this:

You can do this by using the following doc link:

Then instead of cicollection use hardware board instead.

First of all thank you for your email.

I already did the above configuration, & the widget is displayed in SMAX.

However we are generating some reports for our company or for some customers, where they want to see the devices & their related hardware boards with the counting & everything through Power BI. That's why we want to store them in SMAX. 

I am thinking now of using UCMDB APIs to pull these information and push them to a custom table. I think it will work this way. But i thought there was an OOB way to do it.

Yes, in which case you can certainly pull information in from the UCMDB API using the Integration Engine to then create a custom record type within SMAX to hold this data.

It would just be a matter of getting the related CIs based upon the devices CI ID. Then specifically filter for the Hardware board and import that relevant data required.
