Search in SMAX - Discrete Search or Multi Value Search as a list - when ID value with a comma works great but when I try Display Name and other field it does not work

Earlier I raised query/discussion for the Discrete search was answered well by   thanks a ton!

I want to know if I try searching discrete valued of other field than ID field like Display Label in Device table of SACM - DSK01, DSK21, DSK38, DSK48. Now I expect the result to be shown as a list which I can use for many purpose like making a view for a purpose or export or mass update.

Can someone help me in getting idea that how to do this in SMAX. I used to do in Service Manager for any field this kind of search for various operational activities as mentioned like mass update, export, view etc

    Hi Deepak,

    As you are doing a Text filter you have to provide a search string and an operator. For the example you show above if the Operator is set to Contains or Starts with and then you enter DSK you would get a list of everything that starts with or Contains DSK. So you'd prefer to go with Starts with in this case. You can then tick the relevant devices to then do a mass update. The key is finding a filter that makes it as granular as you need within the List view. Which is why certain operators work better than others depending upon the names you are trying to filter on
