MF RUM on Virtual Environment

Hope you are doing great!

This is regarding one of the customer where, MF APM (RUM+BPM) deployment is being planned.

We have few queries regarding the RUM deployment.

As per the document, MF RUM is supported only on VMWARE platform when deployed on virtual environment, can you help answer below queries.

Entire environment is virtualized on Microsoft Hypervisor and Red Hat virtualization, and below are the planned servers for Entire APM RUM.

Virtualization platform OS                    Hostname           Application Name                                CPU's      Memory        Given Storage
MS Hypervisor           Windows           rumengdb            APM - RUM Engine + mysql DB         12            24 GB          200 GB + 2000 GB
RHV                           RHEL                rumsnifprobe       APM -RUM sniffer probe                      8             16 GB          1.1 TB
MS Hypervisor           Windows           rumclmonprobe   APM - RUM client monitor probe         8             16 GB           1 TB

Question 1: Can RUM work in this environment, provided traffic duplication is achieved in this virtual environment and do MF have any guidelines on achieving the same. (Official document has traffic duplication guidelines for VMWARE only)

Question 2: If above platform is not supported, and we need to go for Physical server as a last option, then,
A) Will we need RUM Engine + MySQL DB and RUM sniffer probe and client monitor probe, all on physical server, please confirm.
B) OR we can have RUM engine + mysql DB on single virtual server(Hypervisor platform), and sniffer probe on physical server, please confirm.
C) Client monitor probe: does this need to be on physical or virtual server, please confirm.

Question 3: suppose, we have RUM sniffer probe on physical server, we will plan to do port mirroring on switch which is connected to webserver and RUM probe will probe the traffic.
 Is this understanding correct.

Question 4: In case of Question 2 (all three cases), what is recommended Server resources on physical server for RUM components, as resources performance will vary from VM and physical environment.

Questions 5: MF APM is planned on windows servers on Hypervisor, hope this will not have any impact w.r.t RUM.

Please support in correcting the understanding wherever needed.

Looking forward for your response on same.
