Support Tip: Operations Agent fails to start

Problem

Operations Agent fails to start and ovc returns the following error:
(sec.core-108) Error while configuring SSL to use certificate with alias <cert> (ca md too weak).

Cause

This issue only occurs when an Operations Agent node tries to communicate using the older certificates when you set the value of the SSL_SECURITY_LEVEL variable to 1 in the sec.core.ssl namespace.

Solution

Do one of the following:

Set the value of the SSL_SECURITY_LEVEL variable to 0.
Remove the existing certificates and request for new certificates after setting the secure configurations.
