Sitescope config_tool.bat -i silent not using exportPassword value

Hi all,

I have been looking at automating the Sitescope managed backup.
Yes, we have VM backups but an individual sitescope config backup to a zip file was perfect.
Very simple right,
1) Copy the example configtoolparams.txt and change it as you need to.
2) Run <sitescope_bin_dir>\config_tool.bat -i silent -f <custom_text_config\configtoolparams.txt>

However no matter what I do the exportPassword= parameter in the <custom_text_config\configtoolparams.txt> is completely ignored.
The zip file is created as expected BUT with no password (not even the the default password).
We are running Sitescope 23.4

Is there something I am doing wrong?

IT may be that you are running old key management.

Hi, I am using the sample configtoolparams.txt to automate the backup of the sitescope config.
In using that I am running config_tool.bat in silent mode and passing the path to configtoolparams.txt.
configtoolparams.txt ONLY has EXPORT set to true with a value for exportPassword.

So there are no boxes to fill out doing it this way.
NORMALLY if you use the GUI to do the export the export password is used as the password for the zip file.
This is the issue, there is no password on the zip file when created using the silent method even though there is a value in the configtoolparams.txt file.

My understanding is that password is for exported keystore not the zip file itself.

There is a temp. keystore created you can see more details in SiteScope_config_tool.log
