Where to look when some L2 connection with Topology Source: SUBNETCONNECTION is found which shows 'Status: Critical due to AggregatorDown' without obvious reason?

Environment

Network Node Manager i (NNMi)  installations with SUBNETCONNECTIONs and LAG interfaces.
 

Situation

(A) Seeing an aggregated L2 connection - and no members in it.
(B) Seeing a Red/Critical L2 connection - and no immediately visible reason for that.
(C) Seeing a 'Critical due to AggregatorLinkDown' conclusion - and that does not get cleared on time once the situation is back to normal.
