Customizing the Policies web page in Network Automation - adding additional column

Hello,

Do you know if there is a way to customize this web page displaying policies in NA by adding additional columns which would display "Last Modified Date" and "Last Modified by" info?

Thank you.

Best regards,

    Hi Jaroslaw,

I could be wrong, but I don't think there is a way to do this within NA today.

One option, though not quick, you could open an Idea Exchange and then this would be voted on and hopefully this would get turned into a future feature.

If you wanted this to be a report....

You might be able to generate a event report as it would show your two fields plus compliance information, but this wouldn't be exactly what you're looking for.

Tihs might be doable with NA + OPTIC in 24.4, though I'm unsure what event data comes from NA, but it's a possibility.  You didn't mention what version of NA you have.  If you wanted to go this route, I'd think 24.4 would be the way to go, earlier versions was really limited in terms of NA data to OPTIC

Similar, if you have OO, then this would be doable - you'd just create a flow to basically render that report with the fields you want included.

I do like your idea, it is possible an IE already exists for this.  Even if I were going to submit a new IE, I'd suggest going the IE route and then if possible OPTIC or OO.

    hope this helps,

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

I am at the moment on 2022.05, so that's a pretty "old" gear not yet integrated with NOM/OPTIC (only NNMi is integrated).
My idea is definitely put it into and submit as an IE although I know it will not be delivered overnight.

I am curios if such a thing can be achieved with rcx files?
Work with .rcx files - Network Automation

Once I was provided they can be used to add some menu entries in NA and it worked. But the OpenText documentation on that topic is not something which would give some useful details how to use them (or I could find it).

    Regards,

    Jaroslaw
