What’s new in Operations Bridge 24.4?
Welcome to the new OpenText. New products, new capabilities, and a fresh new name for our products. As we expand our reach beyond our existing loyal customers, it is essential to have product names that clearly defines the capabilities and functionality of our products. So, you'll see a couple of changes. Our big change is the renaming of Operations Bridge to OpenTextTM AI Operations Management. While we loved "the Bridge", it was time to better describe the primary capability. So, long live the king of enterprise event management and correlation, OpenText AI Operations Management. The next thing you may notice are some products include "Core" in the name, like OpenTextTM Core Application Observability or OpenTextTM Core Infrastructure Observability. "Core" is our designation for products that are primarily delivered as a service, rather than a traditional on-premises deployment. But, even if you see "Core" attached to a product name, that doesn't mean it is only deployed as a service, we've got off-cloud (AKA on-premises) deployments in our back pockets to make sure organizations like yours have a choice of deployment.
So, let's jump in to see what's new in Cloud Editions 24.4!
For the 24.4 release, OpenText AI Operations Management (Operations Bridge) delivers new content and capabilities, including 26 ideas and enhancement requests submitted by customers!
Kicking off the new capabilities, OpenText IT Operations Aviator for OpenText AI Operations Management enables integration of customer knowledge base and domain content – making every user an expert!
We’ve also enabled subject matter experts to enhance remediation instructions as part of events and tickets. For Cloud teams, we’re now providing new out of the box dashboards across including AWS and Azure and reducing noise event correlation using tag-based cross-configuration items.
All in all, another great release for our flagship OpenText AI Operations Management solution!
What is going on with OpenText Core Infrastructure Observability 24.4?
Similar to OpenText AI Operations Management, OpenText Infrastructure Observability adds new reporting on utilization of resources including a consolidation of cross-application comparison in addition to expanded service coverage for Azure and AWS. As always, OpenText Core Infrastructure Observability works hand-in-hand with our next solution, OpenText Core Application Observability…
For Cloud Editions 24.4, OpenText Core Application Observability continues to accelerate! Our focus for this launch was inclusion of synthetic monitoring delivered by OpenText Business Process Monitor, so application owners clearly understand the performance of the app 24 x 7. We also ensure that real user tracing is separate from synthetic, so development teams know where to focus their efforts.
And, we continue to offer OpenText Core Application Observability in one of the most cost-effective packages, with a savings up to 90% over competitive solutions. So, democratize the data and gain observability for all with OpenText Core Application Observability.
One more thing? We've got you. We've also integrated our brand-new OpenTextTM Core Cloud Network Observability solution into OpenText Core Application Observability, Now, our OpenText observability solutions stretch across infrastructure, applications and network to deliver the insights IT organizations need to deliver to their customers.
Stay tuned as we detail out more of the capabilities with subsequent posts. Or, check in with the release readiness webinar to hear all of the details delivered by our technical team. And, welcome to the new OpenText!

What’s new in Operations Bridge 23.4?
Cloud observability enhancements for cloud operations and Site Reliability Engineers (SREs)
There are significant enhancements in this release for cloud observability. We’ve announced Infrastructure Observability, a public cloud SaaS-based observability tool for end-to-end monitoring of cloud-native and hybrid applications. All the features of Infrastructure Observability are also available in Operations Bridge.
SiteScope now supports tags to connect cloud and on-premises applications and can propagate that application data to Universal Configuration Management Database (UCMDB) for OpScope.
The high-performance hyperscale observability collector used by Operations Bridge and Infrastructure Observability has out-of-the-box support for applications using Kubernetes, Prometheus, and VMware collection in addition to monitoring cloud providers—minimizing blind spots across all infrastructure monitoring.
Carbon footprint insights
Operations Bridge now collects carbon usage information from cloud instances. And the HPE OneView Connector 23.4, redesigned for OBM monitoring, collects carbon usage metrics for on-premises resources. This data helps users manage their carbon footprint more effectively.

The integration of the OBM Event Browser in the Service Management Automation X (SMAX) UI gives incident managers access to all the event data about a CI.
Features specific to OpenText Cloud SaaS
- OpenText Private Cloud adds VPN support to connect Operations Bridge in the private cloud to the customers’ network—increasing security and simplifying deployment.
- Multivariate Anomaly Detection (MVAD) for Azure Cloud Services uses machine learning and comprehensive analytics to quickly identify subtle anomalies in complex data sets. MVAD already supports AWS.
- Users can self-customize workflows by crafting time-saving EPI scripts, TBEA scripts, and integrations with third-party tools.
- You can now view audit logs directly without the OpenText Cloud Operations team—saving time and increasing efficiency.
- OBM graphing of agent metrics via the Edge component for OpenText Cloud reduces the datacenter footprint by removing the need for a datacenter OBM instance to graph performance metrics.
