Changing Item Number causing system to stall

Hello,

We are working on setting up our first service desk. We have been messing around with tickets and have ran into what we believe is a bug. When changing the item number on a ticket, the system stalls out. After several minutes, we are able to navigate away from the spinning circle (seen below). We have attempted to review the logs and performance and haven't been able to figure out why this is occuring. All items are imported Zenworks. If creating a ticket, we can assign the correct item but then can't change it either. We are on the latest update of ZSD as well.
