I have test ZPM system with version 24.2 and FTF 186. I created four patch policies, all four policies are assigned to test devices and are not published.
I was thinking, that if the patch policies are NOT published and staying in Sandbox version, they will be applied only on test devices. BUT I found, that patches are applied on regular workstations too.
I'm missing something ?

Sounds LIke you are not "MISSING" anything...Just the Opposite...You even have the stuff you don't want
Historically, Sandbox versions only went to devices flagged as "TEST".....Or at least that was my impression as well.
I doubt it's your issue, but some patches such as "CHROME" will always just give you the latest version regardless of what the Version of Chome listed in the policy. The reason is that the download link just references a latest build. This does not apply to any OS Patches, just a few software vendors. I'm just tossing that out there on the off chance that your 4 test patches were for similar software where we just update to current instead of a specific version.
