suppress wallpaper on file transfer?

It makes sense to suppress wallpaper when running a remote control
session, but I just found out that the transfer files command now
supresses the wallpaper also. Why? I don't recall this happening in
prior versions? Currently on ZCM 2017 Update 1. Thanks!
