The update is 17,2 GB in size and the OT download servers sometime only allow a download with 3MB/s or less it can therefore take quite a while, till the whole update is downloaded. If you want to observe this better you can download the update from SLD via your browser and place the update manually onto the server,

That is often how I do it, but yes the download is huge and can be slow.

Gee, I wish I was made aware of this before trying to do the download through ZCC.  If I wanted to download the update from SLD and place it manually on the server, how would I bring it into the system so the ZCC would recognize it?

Copy the file to /var/tmp and then run "zman sui /var/tmp/filename.zip"

However, at this point I would just wait it out.

Note that ZCC downloads System updates from NU(novell update server) channel each file at a time, so that can take some time longer based on the load/speed, so unless scheduled to run auto download in ZCC. This process can take longer than manually downloading the system update (standalone zip) from a different SLD system, which can be imported manually into ZEN to deploy it faster.
