ZENworks 24.2
The GPO setting "EnableMPRNotificatons" was introduced with Windows 22H2. The default value was "Not Configured," which permitted "MPR Notifications.", which was the historical Windows behavior. Starting with Windows 24H2, "Not Configured" disables "MPR Notifications," and the policy must be explicitly set to "Enabled" to allow for MPR Notifications.
See the "NPLogonNotify and NPPasswordChangeNotify APIs" section from https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/whats-new/deprecated-features .
When "MPR Notifications" are disabled, ZENworks can still relay password credentials to Windows for authentication. However, Windows will not be able to relay passwords to ZENworks. As a result, ZENworks password authentication will only work if the ZENworks Credential Provider is enabled if "MPR Notifications" are disabled.
