Configuring Streaming with Apache instead of IIS documents?

Hello everyone,

Does anyone have documentation for correctly setting up an Apache web server for steaming Zenworks Virtual Applications? The basic idea of putting the content off the root is straightforward but the other instructions seem to be geared specifically to IIS which we don't use.

Anyone have a few minutes to give a brief setup example for someone who is just dangerous with Apache?

    Nyle,

I'll see if I get anything like this from Spoon. I know nobody on the support team has streamed with Apache, so we don't have anything readily available.

If anyone else has been successful in setting this up, please post how you went about it.

Thank you so much for checking. I really appreciate it. We are a Novell SLES OES house and only use Windows servers for specific applications that we can't get for Linux. Deploying with Apache would be wonderful.

I'd love to see a walkthrough of ZAV streaming server setup. The docs seem to be vague enough that after multiple attempts (also on an Apache server), I still can't get a server working. Lots of manual stuff, and very little explanation of the components, and what they mean..

I've been working nights for the last month, so haven't had a chance to follow up with Spoon much. The last time I checked, Spoon is still putting together the document for us. I've got a chance to pursue this more now, so I expect to get something soon enough. I'll post it as soon as we have it.

I did notice at first glance though, that the ZAV10 Server requirements list Windows OS's, no other non-Windows Web Servers are listed. Hope the Apache stuff is still possible, much preferred here ..
    I'll await any news..

Apache is still possible, but we're still waiting on an actual document that will walk you through.
