First off congratulations on switching users to limited user accounts, stick with it.

We've been running as limited users for years and I've never seen that type of behavior with ZAV'd apps. They typically load slightly slower than a non virtualized locally installed app but the difference has always been fairly minor. We had run extensive timing tests when we started working with the virtualized apps just to get a handle on the differences between them and conventional apps. I just pulled up my test vm environment and ran a virtualized and msi installed copy of GIMP in a local admin account as well as a limited user account and the startup time was identical. Is your app installed locally or is it on a network share? The one instance where I have seen worse startup speeds is when our apps are coming from a network share, I've verified that the slowdown here is actually being caused by our security software though so you may want to look at that in your scenario. Which version of ZAV did you use to virtualize your apps?
