MFDC 12.1 and Windows 10 1803 problems

There seems to be a lot of problems with Desktop Container applications in Windows 10 1803

Studio does not open, instead I get an error message:
Studio.com - .NET Framework Initialization Error
Please set registry key HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETFramework\InstallRoot to point to the .NET Framework install location

The registry key seems ok (in x64 and x86 registry)

The majority of our virtual applications doesn't start at all (various errors)

I tested the latest version of Turbo.net Studio and it works so I hope Micro Focus release an updated version of Desktop Containers Studio soon... maybe someone knows when?

I have not tried Studio on v1803, but I have no issues running Virtual Apps built on 12.1 on v1803.

There is not really any need to use v1803 for Studio, however, when building most apps.
Just as a SW vendor of the App you are virtualizing does not need to re-release their installer, your Virtual App simply virtualizes the App part not the OS part.

I did need to rebuild an IE6 Virtual App for v1803 that was built using ZAV 10.x..... with ZAV 12.1
But I built that using Win7 SP1...............and works fine on ZAV 12.1

Note: ZAV 12.2 was released in April, but I have not yet Upgraded.

While I am indeed not having v1803 issues with ZAV 12.1, I did receive confirmation that some code newer than the current ZAV 12.2 is currently in the works that will likely have some v1803 fixes is in the works.
Not sure if that will be ZAV 12.3 or patches that would be applied to ZAV 12.2........

I should learn more sometime next week.

    Thanks for the info!

I did some more testing and installed version 12.2, Studio refuses to start on 1803, same error message.

If I make a simple virtual application (using W7 x64, MFDC 12.2) I can access the virtual layer just fine but any spawned cmd.exe processes can't - which kills all use of batch-scripts within the virtual application...

If you don't see an update on this thread by Thursday....let me know and I can ping some folks again.
Again...I don't expect anything to be PUBLISHED this Week...........
I just expect to have some updated status by later in the week that may then contain guidance.
