Again upstream servers busy

Hi,

anyone else has same problem with download of Antimalware signatures ?

[ERROR] [06/05/2024 10:16:57.496] [59] [OnDemandContentProxy] [123] [zenworks] [ConcurrentCDNContentDownloader] [Not able to download the file from upstream servers. Probably all are busy (or) space could have run out in some of the upstream servers and some are busy (or) external download is not allowed] [] [] [] [OnDemandContent]

Rebooting server doesn't fixed the problem. We see this error from yesterday.

License is active till January 1, 2025.

there needs to be some sort of manual method to update the signatures on the server so that when whatever elaborate scheme zenworks normally uses to get updates falls apart, there is still some way for an admin to get signatures out to the workstations at least a couple of times a day.

Going for 72 hours and counting with no AV updates at all with no resolution or work-around in sight is horrifically unacceptable

    I totally agree.....

I 've relayed the same thought to Dev....

I'm working on something....but I need to get feedback from other folks here and perhaps the OEM.

Knock on wood things we will have good news tomorrow but I hope to have something I can share with folks...

according to the bitdefender BEST release notes we're 3 months/10 versions behind their latest.

our version (7.9.9.381) release notes say:

    • Starting with this release, we are going to bring improvements to the endpoint update mechanism. These improvements are being rolled out in stages and require no action from your side.

    Most releases since then mention:

    • The endpoint update mechanism is being improved. These improvements are being rolled out in stages and requires no action from your side.

I can't help but assume they finally changed something that broke whatever mechanism the ZENworks server was using to get the updates and somebody wasn't paying attention.

Agent on workstation doesn't handle updates directly, but maybe this is culprit of the problem. Changed distribution mechanism, but OEM should alert partners before implementing it.
