Vibe, how are you?!

Good question.

Vibe, how are you?

Is there any progress? Is there someone who can tell us if Vibe is still a supported product which will be continued and developed further?

    Hi Diethmar,

Vibe is still supported and will continue to be supported.

I think PM was very clear on its status during previous Seminars.

Or am I misunderstanding your question?

    Regards

    Tarik

    Hi Tarik,

I see a rather slow progress in solving SRs, even if there is a obvious bug. Not only my reported issues, but other partners told me the same.

There is a nice slide telling me that there is a version 4.0.7 after 4.0.6, and there will follow a version 4.0.8 but not mentioning any additional features. What has changed or will change - fixing issues and bugs ...
    That's not enough.

    Regards
    Diethmar

I don't expect any more updates from vibe.

In my opinion vibe is still alive. But its heart is "in the last vibrations".

No new features, no modern design, just minor version updates with bugfixes and nothing new planed.

Or has anyone seen and roadmap in the last time? Any hints for vibe 4.1, 4.2 or even vibe5? Nothing!

Having no roadmap is a pretty strong signal, not knowing in which direction to move or probably a signal that the decision to stop any movement has already been taken.

So I think that Microfocus will vibe still support to fulfill the maintenance requests, but the development has stopped.

I they would like to improve the product, that would have announced any roadmap  for that.

So the answer to your question "vibe how are you" will be "I'm alive, but I'm on my way to die. Bye bye guys!".

The only person in a position to fully answer that question would be PM.

We all know that our partner Code & Concept do an amazing job with additional Vibe functionality and customisation.

We also have another partner in South Africa, NetCB who are also very active in supporting local customers.

Yes,   you are right! That's reason why I started this thread.

      - you are right too, Tarik. It' time that the PM should read, reply and discuss with us, what's going on.

In some way it is underestimated how many customers are using Vibe. The main reason - Vibe is part of a larger package. So it's not easy to measure importance and acceptance. My customers are using Vibe to work together with external partners, to work and follow leads, to offer an information platform or to handle health and Corona activities.
But in some cases customers lose trust because they do not see any progress (I try to hide it with customization). Competitors are waiting - any easy win.

    Right, .

We are too using vibe because it is included in the nows package.

Our users complain pretty much about the old UI.

So I think, next year will be a year of change.

Either Microsfocus thinks about to change the vibe UI or customers think about changing the collaboration  product.

The main thing is that vibe worked steadily and did not fall like a toy roly poly !
