Mariadb - Vibe 4.0.8.3 on SLES15SP5 - new installation

I had problems with Vibe 4.0.8.3 on a sles12sp5 server after an Sles update (java error)
I decided to reinstall Vibe based on a SLES15SP5 server and also installed tk-32bit, tcl-32bit and libstdc++6-32bit.
I preselected MariaDB as the database because it is recommended according to the documentation.

The installation of Vibe 4.0.8.3 went fine and I have to run the scripts to create the database.
Here I only find scripts for MSSQL, Oracle, Mysql and Postgres, but not for MariaDB.
Who can help me?
Thanks for your support

Use MySQL scripts - there is no difference ...

i use the original installation documentation for vibe4.0.8 and there are many false command when using sles15sp5!

we can only hope, that the documentation for cominb version vibe 4.0.9 will be refreshed !!!

the installation is not easy, libs must be loaded manually, database must be choiced manually, conf files and other must be edited, database must be created, propertie-files edited, and then tables created

Are we in 2024 with artificel intelligence or what is false?

Claude, you are working with a product which has not been refreshed for years. Unfortunately! One of its children has a new makeup and a lot more support. Filr. In the background they are very similar.

That's the reason why Vibe specialist know the Filr frame in a very good way.

Sometimes I feel that Vibe is Cindarella - and we wait for the good fairy ...

Diethmar, this is all correct what you write here. But for me it is a plaisure, a challenge, a training, a great play to become vibe 4.0.8.3 running with a documentation with many "make-better" advice! the documentation are not write from the programmers and after finishing the documentation nobodiy use this documentation to test the installations.
but i had a good new: i am near to finished a successfull installation

And Vibe 4.0.8 is under maintenance and you self have found that a new build 4.0.9 is coming soon! OT can investigate a many to not lose not more customers and products!

i am alos older and at this time not "Cindarella"

successfull installation and configuration from vibe4.0.8.3 on a sles15sp5, was a challenge with the latest documentation...

    Hy Claude

As Vibe 4.0.9 is still not availible and there for OT did not have the power to clean up documentation. Installing vibe 4.0.8.5 is still a hussle for me as I am not a Novell guy with 30 years of experience in vibe/filr myistery solving. So okay I am a paying customer andthere for  I opend a ticket for this at OT but as I think India will take some days to figure out what I want and who could help me out it whould be a pleasure to read your documentation and get some hints by doing this what I am doiing wrong. Using SLES 15.6 and vibe 4.0.8.5. Thanks for your helping hand.

Another idea would be for you to post that somewhere.  Do you have a website you could use? Or would you like a hand on that front.   Not sure if OT would want to bother posting, given they appear to have effectively orphaned this product, though I will ask around.
