there's a few ways to go about this, and most don't use the app, but a browser.

The interface you see in the app is visible at https://<site>:<port>/mobile ; the app is mainly used to store credentials securely and to manage connections to multiple sites.

It all depends on your use case, but one of the better ways to provide a guest user experience is to build nice landing pages (Vibe already offers dynamic visibility, so no need to clone&modify if you have some) and then to set the configuration that makes mobile browsers get the desktop/LP version.

I am fine with disabling the app and mobile interface. One of the primary things that happens for us is that documents that are stored in Vibe are shared with the public. On a phone, that does not work as they hope.

We usually put these two lines in ssf-ext.properties:

tablet.userAgentRegexp=(.*)
tablet.useDefaultTestForAndroidTablets=true

and that makes every browser use the default interface. This does not disable the web interface shown by the app, which you can still hit at the URL I mentioned above.

For scenarios like that, we do use specialised landing pages and depending on the way you make the documents public, we at Code and Concept have built some JSPs to spare some hassle that we offer. If you are interested, just shoot me a line (either here or via e-Mail or via the TTP ).
