Upon having browsed to a folder through a DFS name space with a domain-based DFS root, NFARM returns "Unable to fetch trustees for <DFS_PATH_TO_FOLDER>" when trying to configure Trustee Rights.

Environment

Microsoft Active Directory
Open Enterprise Server (OES)
OES 2018 SP3
NFARM for Windows

Situation

If one starts browsing the DFS name space from a domain-based DFS root in Active Directory, then NFARM may return "Unable to fetch trustees for <DFS_PATH_TO_FOLDER>" when trying to configure Trustee Rights of a folder that is 3 or more DFS links away from the DFS root.

Cause

In this particular situation NFARM sends a request with the wrong folder path to the wrong server for obtaining the trustee information, which is caused by a known defect.
