Situation

During OES Client upgrade, it appears that the installer fails to record values in the registry and unable to determine the cause as it doesn't provide enough details.


Cause

A new Client for Open Enterprise Server installation was started without first rebooting the machine to let Windows finish the original uninstallation of the client.
