Agreed. I reported some of these during OES 24.4 beta. IC on OES is still basically useless. There is still too much fragmentation, with the various development teams not working together  Now that OES team has bundled IC officially and apparently moving iPrint to it in 2025, this should change from here on out.

Release 1.9 is rumoured to be in the pipeline, pending next release of IDM (24.4?) sometime in December, likely alongside eDirectory 24.4 (edir 9.3) by the sounds of it

I'm hoping IC 1.9 makes it into a regular patch channel on OES 24.4 so we don't have to wait for OES 25.1 to get the required fixes.

In installations of the IC in the field and local I can remove or add replicas from servers. I can change and add eDir object attributes, I can browse etc. What is different in my installation?

Question for others.  Does anyone else have DSFW installed in their edir tree? 

I do in both trees trees I see affected by the blank CN issue blocking user modification.  Support thought maybe related.

I think we can add another issue with IC, that it only appears to install with UMC, and not on the rest of the boxes that have iManager.  Surprised to not see a mention of that, though the two servers into these upgrades could be something else.  Next weekend is the outage window I have.

And didn't I see something about OES IC install messing up if standalone IC is installed?   At least, I never got as far as the standalone IC for my clients.

• I do agree they should provide a better quick text description of the edirApi rest dependencies, and the warning to remove standalone IC from prior to 24.4.
• They had made a hand waving warning in the 24.4 beta on removing prior IC to avoid port conflicts.  It is unfortunate they missed this big warning in official documentation.   I think a few of us should open cases to give them a kick.to add this warning under prerequesets
