OES 24.1.1 - microfocus-umc-backend.service not starting

I found, that microfocus-umc-backend.service is not running on all OES servers, exception was server with UMC installed. Looking on logs revealed, that there is a library missing libicu73_2.

After I installed it, I was able start service in subject.

Maybe I'm not alone.

    David, there was a many bugs on the last oes versions. My experience was that there was false symbolic links with the library libicu73_2 when on this oes server is also groupwise installed.

    But you had found a solution, there are many ways to "Rome"...

    do you know the command umcServiceHealth -a" , this will analyze your umc configuration and give your solution when there are troubles!

    If there are heavy problems, the best way is to delete any objects in the directory (see oes communiity) and then reconfigure umc with "yast umc" or "yast2 umc"
