Knowledge Document: iPrint Online Update registration fails with "Signature verification failed for repomd.xml"

When attempting to register an iPrint server for updates, it fails with an RPC error. Attempting to register using this command: suse_register -a email=<email> -a regcode-iprint=<Reg_Code> results in this message: Execute command: /usr/bin/zypper --non-interactive ref --services Execute command exit(4): Repository 'iPrint-5-Platform-Updates' is invalid.

Environment

OpenText iPrint Appliance 5.0

Situation

When attempting to register an iPrint server for updates, it fails with an RPC error.

Attempting to register using this command:
suse_register -d 3 -a email=<email> -a regcode-iprint=<Reg_Code> -L /tmp/suse_register-d3.log
results in this message:
Execute command: /usr/bin/zypper --non-interactive ref --services
Execute command exit(4): Repository 'iPrint-5-Platform-Updates' is invalid.
[nu_novell_com:iPrint-5-Platform-Updates|https://nu.novell.com/repo/$RCE/iPrint-5-Platform-Updates/sle-15-x86_64?credentials=NCCcredentials] Valid metadata not found at specified URL
History:
 - Signature verification failed for repomd.xml
 - Can't provide /repodata/repomd.xml
