How to copy driver profile ?

Hi Community,

Running with iPrint Client v06.23.30 on Windows 21h2 - OES2023.

Trying to copy a Printer Profile from one store to another, always tells me :  "Creating and modifying driver profiles is only supported on IE 5.5 and above."
I have tried with Firefox 115.1.0esr (64-bit), Edge Version 117.0.2045.36 (Official build) (64-bit) without success ...
any advises are welcome.

Cheers,
Pascal

The message you are seeing is accurate.  IE is required to perform that operation as well as other driver related processes.  As IE has been deprecated, we use a new tool called iPrintManage that is included with later versions of the iPrint client.  If you right click the iPrint Client icon in the systray, there is an option called Manage.  Selecting that option will present a login screen and you'll use your eDir admin credentials to log in.  From there you should be able to complete your task.  You can also create a shortcut using C:\Program Files\Novell\iPrint\iPrintManage.exe.

    Thank you,

the "Copy to" option displays an empty screen, where this should (i presume) provide a list of Store, right ?

You should see a list of all Print Managers that exist in the eDirectory tree.  The management utility knows how to determine the associated driver store.  One thing that is not clear and not documented is the utility's ability to copy PDPs from one iPrint appliance to another.  This is something the utility cannot do.

    Will you share the C:\NDPS\Users\<yourusername>\iPrintManage.exe\iPrintManage.log?
