ISSUE: Signatures need to be tested and verified before they are automatically applied to all outgoing email. A separate system for testing is the way to go but if one is not available testing can be done on the production system without impacting existing users.

HOW TO STEPS:

Create a Text Filter with a unique text string to request the inclusion of your test signature.

Create a new appropriately configured Message Signature service and attach it to a Message Text filter.

Include the Message Text filter and Message Signature service on your outbound SMTP scan policy.

When you want to have the test signature included on a specific outbound email, just include the string you configured: e.g. ***append signature***.
