Knowledge Document: Secure Messaging Gateway Integration not scanning

When using GroupWise Web in combination with Secure Messaging Gateway to scan the 'file uploads' and provided information. The scan policies do not scan properly. This can result in messages entering your mail system where normally filters would prevent the file-upload or sending attempts.

Environment

GroupWise Version 24.4.0.146610
Secure Messaging Gateway 23.3.x

Situation

The scan policies on the Secure Messaging Gateway service do not report back the desired outcome.
For example, if a attachment SHOULD be blocked using an attachment-filter, the contents are 'scanned' but the message-block does not occur.

Cause

The GroupWise Web sends insufficient details to the Secure Messaging Gateway Server in order to identify the contents of the message.
