Situation

When trying to install SMG 24.3, there is an issue finding the correct repository to all the installation to continue.

Cause

SMG 24.3 license and update channel key did not get activated in the SLD account. The only update channel key available is the one for version 23.2 or older. The appliance version update channel keys point to a different repository set than the non-appliance version update channel keys. They are not interchangeable.

Resolution

Please download your current appliance version update channel key and license .pem file and store locally as they will no longer be available via the SLD once the non-appliance version is activated. Once that has been done, please open a case with the License team. They will have to manually flip a couple of switches before the non-appliance version 24.3 can be activated. Once activated, the correct update channel key and license .pem file will be available in SLD.
