Situation

New feature in 23.3.6 rpm:1.0.1-506.1 - "OCT613057 - Add "at top of message" option to signature service." is not working correctly.
The signature-at-top is used to add a warning to incoming messages to caution the users about trusting links and attachments.

The signature can be set at the top of message for inbound messages, and it works properly on most messages.

However, for many messages the signature appears at the bottom of the message or it fouls up the format of the message.  Specifically ALL messages from gmail, whether gmail.com or a gmail-hosted domain get the signature added at the bottom instead of at the top.  Some html-heavy marketing emails have some formatting problems after the top signature is added, including blank areas and spurious character pairs such as "=9 =9 =9" scattered about.
 

Resolution

This issue has been reported to engineering and should be resolved in the April 2024 SMG update.
